True to its international expansion strategy, the Group has now set its sights on Asia. The expansion began some 12 years ago, initially through the export of products to the Asian market, and has gone from strength to strength since then. In the past 10 years we have forged close relationships with various Asian markets from Dinard. Indeed, we have a dedicated team who work remotely and regularly travel to meet their customers.
Over the years, this contact has intensified. Growth has been gradual and genuinely organic and once a sufficient number of customers had been secured, management at TIMAB Phosphates decided to open an office over there. With this new branch, we are working not only to become truly accessible to our customers, one of the Group’s key values, but also to accelerate our growth.
By opening this office, we are making a long term commitment and setting down roots in this market.
We decided on Malaysia because it is in an advantageous geographical location for maintaining relationships across Asia, and we chose Kuala Lumpur because of its accessibility as a true international hub.
Malaysia is booming, reaping the benefits of a rich multicultural society and a top-flight education system. The Group wasted no time in providing the resources the local branch needed, and our investment matches the scale of our ambition. Our assets also include our local staff. In a blend of cultures, French and Malaysian teams work together in perfect harmony, in a line-up of sales agents and support roles (logistics and technical).
We are growing fast and are always on the lookout for new talent to join the team. But our biggest challenge lies in our human capital: how to best share the values of a French Group located 10,000km from the local team, and make them feel part of the company. It is with this aim in mind that we have launched a major training, incentivisation, and loyalty building exercise for our staff. Roullier Group’s adventure in Asia is a real training ground where employees can learn quickly and assimilate the Group’s culture, and then embark on an international career with a company that knows how to offer opportunities to all of its employees.
This is merely the beginning of the journey, so great are the opportunities in this market. If any of this strikes a chord and you want to get involved, please let us know by submitting a spontaneous application through the careers section of our website: Spontaneous application
